Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland as well as the largest city in the country and is still very much a part of the United Kingdom hence its separation from Ireland. The city is situated in close proximity to the north east coast of the island in the county of Antrim, just over 100 miles from Dublin. This beautiful city is blessed with a rich history and ancient culture's as well as the residents who boast a tremendous amount of pride for their country and home; evident in the countless flags and Northern Ireland insignia's painted on the walls of buildings and front doors of local homes.
The city is sometimes referred to as "Linenopolis" because it was the main centre for Irish linen for countless years, other forms of industry that have carved the city into what is it today are rope making, tobacco production and shipbuilding. The latter industry, shipbuilding, really sky-rocketed it onto the global stage in the 20th century creating the infamous RMS Titanic which really paved the way for transatlantic ships of such great sizes.
Local accommodation boasts fantastic transport options around the city as well as connecting the rest of Ireland via European standard road networks; transport inside the city is of the same high standard offering extensive bus routes, rail routes and of course taxi's who are only a finger's click away. This area of the UK is served wonderfully by two airports one being the International Airport and the other George Best Airport; the latter being the closest to the city center. Guests who arrive via bus, train or aeroplane are offered a shuttle service which meets guests and drops them off on the stoop of the Belfast Hotel without the guests even having to pick up a single bag, all under the watchful eye of the hotels front desk.
Whatever the guest's reason for this much needed trip the choice of local hotels are outstanding creating the perfect form of accommodation for even the most discerning guest.
